Ever green Juju music exponent is grieving right now, following the death of his music mentor and father in the fuji music General Prince Adekunle Paying tribute to the departed legend, General Prince Adekunle, Shina Peters wrote on his social media page.

“I woke up this morning, heard people crying. I said what happened? They said my Mentor, Father, the big boss, PRINCE JOSIAH ADEKUNLE has left this sinful world. Daddy you have contributed immensely to the Entertainment World, especially in Africa. May the LORD grant you eternal peace. RIP. Young Shina omo Adekunle.”

Adekunle who is credited with influencing Sir Shina Peters career is known for his rich, bluesy collection of philosophical Juju music, was one of the successful band leaders in the 70s and 80s. During his illustrious career, he mentored a generation of Juju artistes including Sir Shina Peters, Dayo Kujore and Segun Adewale.
