Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola, gave us something to keep us talking about after her amazing role in her last movie, ‘93 days,’ which brought a lot of things to mind, especially the character she played, late Dr. Stella Adadevoh.
However, that is not our story, she was alleged to be among the top actresses who can’t do without smoking. Bimbo said that she is not bothered. “Anybody can write whatever they like. And this has been happening for the last 20 years. I have read many stories about myself online that I don’t even know the person they are talking about. I’m not bothered because I know who I am; my parents know who I am; my family and friends know who I am and when people who don’t know me meet me and have a conversation with me, they change their mind.”
She added “So, I’m okay with that. There was a time I was outside the country and some persons wrote that I was in Ogba doing something funny. I laughed deeply. And that was about 15 years ago. The truth of the matter is that people want to read weird, funny stories and unfortunately, there is a huge base for stories like that everywhere in the world. So, that is why stories like that would never end. So, I’m not bothered.
