I contracted infections from my ex-husband severally – Actress Etinosa
Popular Nigerian actress, Etinosa Idemudia, has shared her ordeal with marriage.
The actress disclosed that she contracted sexually transmittable infections from her ex-husband at different times, adding that in marriage, couples share everything, including diseases.
This disclosure was made on her X handle, where she wrote, “When I was married of course I received infection from time to time. But that’s marriage for you. Marriage is about sharing. You share everything… including infection.”
The actress got married at age 22. However, in an interview she granted Chude Jideonwo in 2023, Etinosa disclosed that she suffered brutal domestic violence from her ex-husband to the extent she almost lost her life.
She said she indulged in illicit substances as an escapism from her cheating and abusive husband.
The actress said she eventually left the marriage after her ceaseless praying and fasting didn’t change her husband.
