Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State has publicly declared that he cannot be stopped by any opposition from restoring the dignity of the state as he described all the hate attacks as “unending and unnecessary criticism.”
Masari has in recent times faced a lot of criticism from both the opposition Peoples Democratic Party and social media bloggers over his kind of leadership style which they said will eventually lead to bankruptcy in the state.
He furthered that he does not need any threat from any one ahead of the 2019 general elections adding that he would do a proper account of his leadership and all entrusted to him.
He also stated that to destroy was always very easy but to build takes a lot of time. Masari revealed that he inherited, “a system full of mess, and we are resolute to fix it, no matter whose ass is gored.”
“The manifestation of what we are doing now will be felt in years to come,” he said.
He said that the screening conducted for the local government staff and teachers was done as a good measure to curb the rate of corruption in the service.
“Every month, the state government had to top up over N1.1 billion to effect payment of salaries in the 34 local government areas in the state,” he said.
