Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim knows that a lot of people do not consider her a good actress but that has not stopped her from making giant strides in the entertainment industry.
We also know that the matter has been over-beaten when it comes to her getting roles because of her skin colour, and the accusation has not stopped either.
Juliet started acting in 2005 and has appeared in over 30 movies since then and has also bagged some awards including 2015 Best Female Actor of the Year at the GN-Bank Awards and Favourite Actress at the 2015 Ghana Movie Awards.
“I didn’t face a lot of challenges when coming to the industry but the challenges I face outside of the industry or to grow bigger as I’ve grown now is everybody out there who thinks that because she’s of a colour, that’s why she’s still on the screens or that’s why people still use her.”
She added “People have just refused to look beyond that so they still judge me or classify me based on the fact that they think that I can act and not just because of my colour. I’m trying so hard to make people … at least try and watch my movies so that they can be able to see that I’m doing this.”
