Veteran actor cum producer, Obi Madubogwu who has being hospitalized for some weeks following a sour on his leg which he got from diabetics.
The actor is now recuperating following intensive care due to the help received from kind hearted individuals who came to his rescue.
Nollywood is known to be an industry where they don’t assist each other financially but wait patiently for that person to die and crocodile tears would be seen everywhere.
The industry has lost several talents in the past due to this selfishness and wickedness that lingers in their midst.
However, over the weekend, the actor became a year older and some Nollywood veterans visited him at the hospital to make his day special.
They are: like Don Pedro Aganbi (Lagos AGN Chairman), Prince Ifeanyi Dike, Jude Orhorha, Ifeanyi Ikpoenyi, Dozie Eboh, Stanley Okoronkwo, Andy Chukwu to mention a few.
Talking about his disappointments the actor disclosed how he was ignored by actors who he ran to for help; some are those he helped shaped their career.
In his words: “He said “I am truly thankful for the people who have been of help to me. But I am surprised at the behavior of some of the stars whom I helped shape their film careers. Some have received cumulative acting fees from me running into tens of millions of Naira. I remember one who works with Governor Okorocha. I was the one who gave her the first movie role. I called her on the phone once and after that she refused to pick my call subsequently. Many Nollywood stars disappointed me at the point of need, avoiding my phone calls; but God has been great, giving me support from unfamiliar places”.
