There had been much ado about the celebrations ahead of Copyright Society of Nigeria’s (COSON) 5th Anniversary Edition in Lagos and the expectations were high in the minds of stakeholders and friends of the house.
According to reports, in attendance were many A-list celebrities including Tuface, Majek fashek, Prince Wadada among others who graced the occasion organised by the body chaired by Chief Tony Okoroji.
The highlight of the event was when the ‘Send Down The Rain’ crooner, Majek Fashek called out ‘African Queen’ crooner, Tuface to join him in finishing his song, ‘Holy Spirit’ on stage. The duo did justice to the song to an applause rending audience.

The ‘Rainmaker’ who has been out of contention in recent times was looking a shade of himself sang his songs and reminded many that he still has his game on despite his haggard frame.
The anniversary was also a time to awards personalities who have supported and contributed to growth of the society. The awardees included Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission, Mr. Emeka Mba, who was decorated with the Copyright Medal of Honour, veteran broadcaster, Mr. Mac Emakpore; Director-General, Nigerian Copyright Commission, Dr. Afam Ezekude; Tuface Idibia; Mr. Edi Lawani; Evang. (Dr.) Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi
