It has been a very exciting time for the Nigerian-Born Hollywood actress, Folake Olowofoyeku who has broken grounds in the Hollywood movie industry.
Speaking about how she was able to start her career as a Hollywood actress she said,” Once I made the commitment to theatre and acting, I focused on doing ‘the work’ – studying, paying my dues, showing up, being professional and, most importantly, believing in my talents. I was in university studying theatre full time, rehearsing and performing in school productions as well as off-off-Broadway plays in New York all at the same time.”
She stated that she remained focused on what she does by gaining hands-on experience as well as understanding the business, inevitably lead to her staying in and getting in.
She won the Best Actress Award for “When They Could Fly”. She went to boarding school in Benin – Igbinedion Education Centre, transferred to Lagos – Vivian Fowler Memorial College and then Oxbridge for A Levels.
