As the year 2015 began about six months ago, Nollywood actress and philanthropist Moyo Lawal also sketched her way back to the big screen in the world of movies but did you know her career was once stumped and revived by another colleague?

She has disclosed that about four years ago, the bad press image that had happened concerning one stories had affected her so bad that she wanted to quit the job of acting but if not for the timely intervention of actress Halima Abubakar.

She said, “Have I ever given you guys this gist? Well a few years ago, 2010 to be precise, I literally stopped acting because the press used a picture I did not approve of and then my face went crazy. During which period, I was buying and selling fashion items (but that is another story for another day.)

“However by 2011, I had grown a back bone and decided to go back. I thought why not concentrate on the big screen this time. This wonderful lady, Halima Abubakar was kind enough to invite me to her location where she was filming.”

She went on to confirm that it was after her encounter with Halima Abubakar that she starting getting her feet back on the ground in Nollywood.

“That is after I have bugged her life with calls, where I met Divine Touch and Uche Nancy. Both of whom were kind enough to consistently give me roles in their movies that year which helped in kicking me off in the movie world. So please help me thank Halima oooh,” she added.
