The Special Adviser on Intercommunity Relations to the Kano State Governor visited Yola, the capital city of Adamawa State. This visit was so timely and could be referred to as killing two birds with one stone as he went to congratulate Alhaji Muhammadu Barkino Aliyu Mustapha on his ascension to the throne as the new Lamido of Adamawa, having succeeded his late father, and also to send condolence message to him over the death of his father, late Alhaji (Dr) Aliyu Mustapha.

The Special Adviser was accompanied to Yola by some community chiefs like Alh. Abdullahi Biu (Sarkin Baburawa Kano), Chief Gabriel Musa (Sarkin Kabilo Kano), Alh. Yakubu Okolo (Sarkin Igala Kano) and Alh. Abubakar Adaa (Sarkin Idoma Kano)

Hon (Dr) Salahudeen in his condolence message to the Lamido of Adamawa, said that the Kano State Government and its people would like to commiserate with the Lamido of Adamawa on the demise of his father who was a very influential and well-respected traditional ruler in the North and beyond. He said the Kano State Governor Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau Sardauda Kano sends his deepest sympathy to him, his family and the entire people of Adamawa State.

The Special Adviser said the visit was very important at this period because even the Holy Books said that people should be there for others during their times of sadness and happiness.

In his remarks, the Lamido of Adamawa thanked the entourage for finding time to come and visit him during his moment of mixed feelings of both sadness and happiness. He also sent his special appreciation to the Governor of Kano and said he should keep the good work of bringing people of different tribes, religion and culture to live together as one and that Allah (SWT) will not forget his labour of love.
