Recently, D’banj released the track “It’s not a lie” featuring Alterplate super star, Harrysong and Black Diamond’s boss and D’banj’s former hype man and label mate Wande Coal, to signal steps towards the release of his next studio album “king Don Come”.
Lovers of good music and fans of D’banj have all been congratulating D’banj with some pointing out clearly that this is the first time Dabo Oyebanji, a.k.a D’banj has delivered a good song since the days of his ground breaking single “Oliver twist”, a song he recorded under the defunct Mo’hits records and produced by his onetime partner Don Jazzy.

A close listen to the song and you will discover that it is the ingenuity of Harrysong and the ever reliable vocal abilities of Wande Coal are the major elements that made the song a hit.
From the texture and feel of the beats to the high octave guitar sound; it is clear to even a novice in music that this is a Harrysong’s master minded work of art.
Aside the beats, Harrysong’s traditional lyrics and delivery of the hook, totally buried D’banj’s talent as Wande lend his amazing voice to sing and resurrect the career of D’banj. On the part of the self-titled entertainer, he offered nothing other than his usual hypes, laced with lame lyrics on the song.
After reading this comment from, a fan that simply identified himself as kqd , “Finally, Hooked up with a solid crooner like wande and writer like Harrysong. Why d song no go bamm. Nice one bangalee. Now try hook up with Teckno, Davido and Olamide and give us many more hit tracks..” I was left with no other choice than to declare that it’s Not A Lie, that Harrysong and Wande Coal have brought back D’banj into contention in the African music scene.
Meanwhile, VPN, wrote, “Came here for wande. Nice one Harrysong. oba no dey go court n oba no dey go transfer”.
D’banj, is Nigerian top performer with multiple of awards and hit singles that includes “tongole”, “scape goat”, “Oliver twist”, “why me” among others
