Fuji star, Abass Akande Obesere and Comedienne Princess have crashed out of the ongoing Gulder Ultimate Search: Celebrity Showdown.
Both of them were evicted last night by the council of elders after their pots were broken by other contestants during a task in the jungle.
During yesterday’s task, eighteen pots on which the names of the six contestants still in camp were written, were hoisted with ropes on tree branches. Each of the contestants was asked by the show’s anchor, Genevieve Nnaji, to take their turns and break as many pots as they could with an axe thrown from a distance at the pots.
At the end of the task, Daddy Showkey single handedly broke all the three pots on which Princess’ name was written, while Showkey, Emeka Ike and Dare Art Alade also broke those of Obesere.
The task underscored the dexterity of Showkey in marskmanship as the axe he threw some metres away from the pots smashed the target, thus resulting in the eviction of Princess and Obesere.
Before they were evicted, Princess was angry with Showkey for targeting only her pots, while Obesere said he had learnt not to trust anybody again, apparently referring to Showkey with whom he was very close in camp but who also targeted his pots. Showkey apologised to them, saying it was not deliberate and they should see it as a game.
Four contestants are now left in camp following the eviction of six celebrities so far. The first to be evicted was Funke Akindele, followed by Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Muma Gee and Chioma Apotha who were evicted same day, and Obesere and Princess who were evicted last night.
The remaining celebrities in the jungle are Dare Art Alade, Daddy Showkey, Weird MC and Emeka Ike. Weird MC has emerged as the last woman standing.
