Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari got herself in a big trouble when she made a shocking appearance at the last concluded 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
As an ambassador of Telecommunication Company, Globacom (GLO), she was not expected to have anything to do with a rival firm which was exactly what she did.
She defended her action because the organisers of the event, invited her “With that, definitely [they will not be happy] because I’m a GLO ambassador. And I actually went there at Charterhouse’s invitation. Of course, they will not be happy with me mounting the stage of a competitor,” she noted.
Meanwhile, some people are arguing that she doesn’t deserve to be named as the ambassador for 2016 Golden Movie Awards. “All I know is, I was made an ambassador because I’m a major player in the movie industry. I’m basically to create the awareness for the organisation.”
About using motherhood as an excuse to stay away from acting “It’s very bad for anybody to think that. I think everybody is aware of the fact that I took some time off to be a mother. So I feel like it’s really wrong for anybody to regard motherhood as dormancy. I think it’s the greatest job in the world. But besides that, I have been active. When I started acting, I was hungry for the experience and exposure and I think by God’s grace, I have gained that so for now, I’m basically taking my time and being selective,” she said.
