Nigerian ex Super Eagles defender Uche Okechukwu, who was a member of the Super Eagles team that won the African cup of nations in 1994 at Tunisia, is now a professional hunter.
He captained the team in his days and also winning a gold medal in the Olympics with the football team and was a squad member of the Nigerian team that shook the world at the 1994 World Cup in USA.
A man with twitter handle @Imamdimam had shared a tweet thanking Enyinnaya Apollos for rediscovering the 50 capped Super Eagles player Uche Okechukwu.
He said;
“I’ve always wondered where ex Super Eagles dependable defender, Uche Okechukwu, has been. The gentle giant is in Abia State. He said he’s a professional hunter now. Thanks Enyinnaya Apollos for rediscovering him. What a player he was!”
Uche Okechukwu was honored as the longest foreign player to play in Turkey for the longest period of time (13 years). He obtained a Turkish citizenship with a name Deniz Uygar.
Nigerian former midfielder Wilson Oruma has been offered a job as a coach after he was mentally disordered and latter restored by the Nigerian football federation chief Amaju Pinnick, could this post of Uche being a hunter earn him a job in the football federation?
