In early 2000, the music scene was set ablaze by a girl with an amazing talent. This talent was then a 12-year-old girl. Many parents prayed that their children be like her. Her song ‘Osamudiamen’ was like a National anthem. Hardly would any social function end at that time without playing the song for more than five times.

Also at that time, the singer of that song, Benita Okogie was all focused on her music and education; she was never near the topic of marriage. But today, the ‘little girl’ of yesterday now has all the ‘contours’ at the right places.

Right now, she can’t be scolded by anyone for thinking or talking about marriage. In a recent interview, the Edo State-born star didn’t hide the fact that she awaits the ‘special’ ring that would make her join the club of married women.

She said, “I love rings a lot. They are very fashionable to wear. I like wearing them until the real ring comes.” When then asked when would that be, Benita simply answered, “very soon. You should get an invitation when the time comes.”
