The blogosphere has been agog recently since the release of Flavour’s wave making song, ‘Ololufe’ where he featured petite singer, Chidinma. Not just the featuring that created the buzz, but the scene where the singers had a very strong kiss.

Though, after the video, various speculations have been flying round that that the singers could be having strong affection for each other judging from the video but Chidinma in an interview with Sun newspaper, has come out to clear the air that she is not in any relationship with Flavour or anybody else.

According to her, the kissing in the video was just acting and nothing more. She explained that in any video she is involved in, she would like to do anything to make that video look more colourful explaining that it was her first time she was kissing but meant nothing to her.

“Flavour is just a friend and colleague, no strings attached. The kissing thing was just acting. I am an actress and I can do anything to make my music more colourful. However, that was my first time of doing that, but it really means nothing to me because we don’t have strong feelings for each other be¬yond music. What you guys saw was just acting. Little wonder most of my friends and fans have been asking the same question, ‘Chidinma, why did you kiss Flavour?’ But I always laugh and tell them that it was just acting. What of if I become an actress to¬morrow and I kiss someone on set, would it become news? Flavour is just a colleague, please” she said.

On how she has been able to manage fame and her relationship with her lucky guy, the singer expressed that she is not in any relationship with anybody as she does not want to be distracted.

In her words, “I don’t have a boyfriend and I don’t want to have one because I am still too young and I don’t want any distraction from any man. That is the reason I don’t want to rush into any relationship. I don’t want to make a wrong choice. I am a strong lady and a goal getter so I am focussing on my career for now. I don’t have a boyfriend and I am not searching.”
