On May 12, 2014, Nigeria music heavyweight, Femi Kuti, along with others took to the streets of Lagos to protest the abduction of some students of Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State by some members of Boko Haram sect on April 14, 2014.
In the protest were Jide Kosoko, Iyabo Ojo, Foluke Daramola, Doris Simeon, Joe Okei-Odumakin and many others.
The demonstrators marched to the Alausa, Ikeja office of Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), where they demanded for the release of the girls.
