The people of Uwheru community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State were thrown into mourning when the body of a 60 year old man was found hanging on a tree with a note for them.
The deceased had written that it was his inability to feed and provide for his immediate family that led him to take his life.
His wife is sick and the demand on him from his little kids to feed them was something that he couldn’t bear. His lifeless body was discovered in the bush with the suicide note nearby. His younger brother is a serving Councillor at the Ughelli North legislative arm.
A member of the community executive said: “He (Arigo) claimed to have embarked on the act to put a stop on his inability to take care of his immediate family after his younger brother, who is a serving Councillor, abandoned him to his fate.”
