The final burial rites of the late Nigerian music producer, OJB Jezreel has been released by his elder brother, Apostle Albert Okungbowa. On the day he would have clocked 50 is the day the burial rites will commence and this is on July 4.
The ceremony will start off with a candle light procession on Monday July 4 from 5pm at his residence 4, Gbaja street, Surulere, Lagos. The Wake keeping/Service of songs/Tribute will be on July 7 at the Ojays, National Stadium, Surulere. Burial is at Ikoyi Cemetery, Ikoyi on July 8th
OJB Jezreel was flown to India for a transplant in 2013, after his first wife, Mama J, donated one of her kidneys to save his life. “However, his kidney transplant failed again a week before his demise and OJB passed on. Jigga, as he was fondly called by close friends and associate was preparing for his 50th birthday slated for 4th of July before his death”, says a statement released by Apostle Albert Okungbowa read
He is survived by his father, Chief Anthony Okungbowa(Arase of Agbor), Siblings, Mrs.Theresa Ebunola Gamba(USA), Mr. Cornelius Archibong(England), Mr. Albert Okungbowa(USA), Mr. Anthony Okungbowa, Marvin Okungbowa, Bose Ajila Okungbowa and Joseph Okungbowa. Wives, Mabel Babatunde Okungbowa, June Okungbowa, and Korede Okungbowa with eight children.”
