While some had earlier reported that the talented and fair-skinned role-interpreter was dead, others quoted a Twitter account purportedly owned by the actor to have denied the death report.
The fake account of the actor on Twitter had posted a series of tweets to debunk the news. “E b like say I go dey sleep for twitter incase of dis kind news. lolRead It HERE
“People should mind what they post as stories, sound the alarm and tell others that I,Muna Obiekwe is alive and well…
“I’m not a social media type that comes here everyday, I just logged in now just in time to see some fake news about my enemy being dead.”
However, after colleagues of the late actor confirmed his death and attacked the operator of the fake account, an apology tweet was released on the fake Twitter handle.
“Anyway sorry guys for d deceit, muna obiekwe is truly dead and I’m signing out from dis acct…sorry guys,” the parody account of the actor wrote on Sunday night.
