Popular Nigerian On-Air-Personality and comedian, Nedu, is denied the constant allegations leveled against OAPs that they are in the habit of collecting gifts and cash in other to help air artistes works on their various platforms.

Of recent, the complain has gradually become a topic of discuss among some artistes alleging that once they don’t have money to pay OAPs, their songs will not be heard because their CDs will be dumped aside.

But Nedu does not believe that is the main reason while noting that sometimes, these artistes may have been invited by these OAPs to headline a show and they end up giving the wrong attitude which ends up not going well.

“No I don’t collect money from artiste. Which artiste go say I collect money from him hand? I don’t collect money from artiste, basically I don’t even play their songs on radio, I just help them to get their song played most of them that I’m close to. Now the thing is I will not tell you that they don’t collect money and I will not tell you they collect money.

“The fact that they say OAPs collect money, I’d rather not say anything about that but the part where they say OAPs sideline them, I agree, maybe because most of them wey go don do show maybe the OAP go don do show then e don call the artiste make e come perform and the artiste give them talk to the hands durrrrrr, that thing alone might cause a little bit of rift to make you not want to do anything for the artiste in question. So if you say sidelining, I will tell you yes not totally all the OAPs but some of them,” he told HipTV.
