The names of notable Nigerian celebrities such as Joke Silva, Mercy Johnson, Rahama Sadau, among several others have appeared on the recently released list of the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu‘s women campaign team.
The list was published on Saturday, October 1.
On Independence day, the ruling All Progressives Congress announced the composition of the women’s campaign train with First Lady, Aisha Buhari; Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Hajiya Nana, wife of vice presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, leading the pack.
In the 70-page campaign document, no fewer than 33 Nollywood and Kannywood actors were listed under the Creative and Entertainment category.

They included veteran thespian, Joke Silva who chairs the category, Fausat Balogun, Rahama Sadau, Remi Oshodi, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, Rose Odika, Sola Kosoko, Lanre Hassan (Iya Awero) Hajiya Nas, Lizzy Jay (Omo Ibadan), Princess Kalihat Bello, the list reads further.

In other news, supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi took to various environs across Nigeria to commence the campaign rally ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
The LP candidate supporters known as ‘Obidients’ converged at strategic places across these locations.
The rallies coincided with Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Day Anniversary being marked on Saturday.
In Lagos, the supporters started the walk from the Admiralty Junction moving through the major road in Lekki.
