Whose report should we believed?

An explosive 25 minute video accredited to the indefinable Boko Haram leader, Sheikh Abubakar Shekau, has refuted the claims of the nation’s military that it made tremendous gains in the fight to defeat the terror group in Nigeria’s Northeast.

The video which was a mixture with Arabic and Hausa languages said the military was untruthful when they give information about confiscating the territories.

“The military lied when it said they have confiscated our arms and that we have been chased out of our territories, or that we are in disarray. We are alive. I am alive. This is my voice, more audible than it was before,” Shekau declared.

The leader also described President Muhammadu Buhari as a liar staged to deceive Nigerians.

“Buhari is a liar and has deceived Nigerians. The Army spokesman is also lying. He and his foot soldiers always run whenever we come face to face with them at the battle grounds,” and he also mocked the president by saying: “Buhari, you once claimed that you will crush us in three months. How can you crush us?”

But the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, had over the weekend said “the military has recovered all territories previously under the terrorist control.”
