Star of ‘Battle of Musanga’ , Obi Madubogwu has lost his battle with acute diabetics foot ulcers on the 28 of August 2017.
Obi Madubogwu became popular for his role in the blockbuster ‘Battle of Musanga’ were he played the lead role.
Some months ago, the actor expressed his heartfelt thanks to Nigerians who helped him out financially, physically and spiritually.
He also urged them not to give up on him and but to assist him complete the final stage of his treatment which entailed flying out to a US hospital but that was not to be.
It will be recalled, that when Obi ailment began he said actors he helped shaped their careers have abandoned him when he spoke at his last birthday organized for him by Anya Igbo Film Forum.
He revealed then that, “But I am surprised at the behaviour of some of the stars whom I helped shape their film careers. Some have received cumulative acting fees from me running into tens of millions of Naira.
“I remember one who works with Governor Okorocha. I was the one who gave her the first movie role. I called her on the phone once and after that she refused to pick my call subsequently.
“Many Nollywood stars disappointed me at the point of need, avoiding my phone calls; but God has been great, giving me support from unfamiliar places.”
