There is no doubt that the gospel music industry in Nigeria has suffered for a long time because organizations, especially corporate bodies have not been doing much to give intending stars the needed platform to rise to fame.

Instead, the secular genre of music has enjoyed much patronage of heavy sponsorships. This is why singers leave the church to seek ‘greener pastures’ in secular music.

In 2014, Bennie Media Concept Organization started the ‘Most Talented Gospel Artiste In Nigeria (MTGAN)’, which was held in Lagos and won by Hassan Olakunle. He went home with a brand new Nissan Altima, N250,000 cash and a recording contract.

Due to the success recorded in the debut edition, the talent hunt show is set for a second edition in 2015.
