Eniola Badmus praises Tinubu for shifting Nigeria’s economy from consumption to production

Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus has thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for changing the economic strength of Nigeria.

The thespian cum politician praised the president for shifting Nigeria’s economy from consumption to production.

While claiming that Nigeria made unprecedented progress in trade, the political aide noted that the country’s imports are decreasing while exports are increasing, indicating an expanding economy.

Badmus wrote, “Our imports are reducing, and our exports are increasing. That is a sign that our economy is expanding.

“For the year-to-date 2024, our imports were N24.44 trillion, while our exports stood at N38.59 trillion. This gives us an unprecedented trade surplus of over N14 trillion in just eight months.

“It has never happened in Nigeria. Never. This is a refreshing shift from consumption to production.”

Some netizens have, however, knocked her over the claims, recalling that last month, millions of Nigerians demonstrated against the worsening hardship in the country in a movement tagged ‘End Hunger Protests.’
