The cases of hit-and-run accidents are fairly rampant in a society where there are no close-circuit television (CCTV) cameras.

Almost always, those who hit and run do so in order to evade arrest and prosecution and all the consequences that could follow.

But it is strange when a supposed hit-and-run driver, pauses, stops, comes back to his victim, picks him up and disappears with his corpse. This new twist is what has engaged the police in Bayelsa State.

Why would a driver knock down a man, stop to pick the body, then absconds with it?

Presently, the police have launched a manhunt for the unidentified driver of a Nissan SUV who allegedly killed Mr. Ebikiye Johnson a 34-year-old man in Ogbogoro community in Yenagoa Local Government area of the state.
