Nigerian singer and Mavin Dynasty record label singer Dr. Sid has come under the knife of late by the media, fans and now from the security agency SARS.
Dr. Sid has been heavily harassed and embarrassed by the special squad of the Nigerian police force known as Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) who thought he was one of the yahoo boys in the country.
He was driving along the roads of Lekki when a police car told him to pull over and he obeyed, they police officers asked for his phone which he gave to them and after searching they was nothing implicating or connecting him to a yahoo boy.
They refused giving the phone back to him and instead told him they will be seizing the phone from him. It only took the intervention of record mate Reekado Banks and comedian Basketmounth to rescue him.
From an eyewitness Ogunleye Olaide, he said;
“In *Lasisi Elena’s voice * something just happened now. Sars operatives stopped a random vehicle on freedom way, Lekki Phase 1, thinking the driver was a yahoo boy, after routine check, they found nothing implicating, and resorted to seizing the phone of the driver. Little did they know, that this person is Dr Sid, I mean Dr Sid of Mavin Dynasty .
They insulted and attempted to assault him physically. Thanks to @ReekadoBanks and K-Solo, who were there… Before @basket_mouth who was driving by saw them and stopped to know what was wrong. Then, it dawned on the SARS operatives that these guys were not their “yahoo boy customer” Ise baje.
That’s how Dr Sid vex too and started to call. Just imagine that it was an ‘ordinary’ civilian that was harassed today, baba for don dey cell now.” He said.
