Nigerian artiste, Davido is known for throwing shades through lyrics in his music and part of his victim is Ovation CEO, Dele Momodu.
He has also thrown shades at some other big artiste like Tuface in his track, ‘All of you’ where he said he is bigger than all other artiste.
However, his 2016 single ‘Orekelewa’ was a dish song to koko master, Dbanj after he included the following lyrics.
“Na who dem dey ask what is the koko o / i con tell them owo ni koko / he still think say na him be the koko o /Gerrout outta here! / He forget say i don carry am go”.
Despite tihs dish, Dbanj never responded and news of a beef was blown out of proportion.
This has made veteran Disk Jockey, Dj Jimmy Jatt to wade into the issuein which he disclosed that there is no such thing as beef between Davido and D’banj.
He further defended Davido saying Davido didn’t use those lyrics with an intention of brew a beef with Dbanj.
In his words: “I don’t why this is coming up now. The song came out since late September…last year. There was no thought in that direction…I think it’s just somebody’s imagination. I don’t believe it was done in that direction, and David says it’s not in that direction”
