Senator Dino Melaye , a lawmaker who represents Kogi West Senatorial District has stated yesterday that he has a strong desire to become the President of Nigeria.
Although he did not state categorically when this will happen but according to his words,“I will be” president.
He said this on Channels Television during the evaluation of the first anniversary of the Senator Bukola Saraki-led 8th Senate.
He lauded the Senators for the jobs well done within the first year of their duties in office. “The Senate under Senator Bukola Saraki has done brilliantly well. But we would have done better if not for this; like I call it this planted distraction by people of inordinate ambition,” he said.
Speaking about the alleged falsification of assets by Senator Bukola Saraki who is undergoing trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal,he said, “you don’t kill a man for being ambitious, everyone is ambitious. I’m ambitious; like I want to be the president of the federal republic of Nigeria. It shouldn’t be a crime. I will be.”
