Nigerian singer, Waje, has decided to have a feel of how tattoos are on the body and as decided to make some designs on her hands.
The singer called a makeup artiste who is good at making the Henna design which is most popular among the Muslim faiths, to make some lovely designs on her.
Waje stated that she stayed up all night just to have the design made on her.
It was originally used for only women’s palms and sometimes for men, but as time progressed, it was more natural for women to wear it.
According to Wikipedia, likely due to the desire for a “tattoo-black” appearance, many people have started adding the synthetic dye p-Phenylenediamine (PPD) to henna to give it a black colour. PPD may cause severe allergic reactions and was voted Allergen of the Year in 2006 by the American Contact Dermatitis Society.
