Beautiful onscreen personality, Toke Makinwa has been making headlines on and after her book On Becoming came to light.
On Becoming suddenly became the talk of town immediately after it was a lunched and its circulation didn’t waste any time.
In the book, the OAP spoke extensively about her life as whole including her crashed marriage to fitness coach, Maje where she addressed the cheating scandal.
However, weeks after the book gaining grounds locally and internationally, Maje filed a law suit on character defamation and revealed that they have been estranged but living together before the cheating scandal broke loose.
Not knowing who is truly saying the truth, the fans of the estranged couple were thrown into confusion on who to believe.
However, Maje’s lawsuit had instructed the immediate withdrawal of the book ‘On Becoming’ from public domain which Toke boldly ignored.
In a recent interview with Punch, Maje revealed that the Book launched by his ex-wife caused a serious harm on his brand as it led many believing something untrue about him.
In his words: “People tend to form a perception of you from what they read or hear about you. Having those kinds of things written about me and circulating in the public domain has definitely hurt my brand, though it’s hard to quantify the kind of impact it has had. However, I concentrate my energy on doing good work and letting it speak for me.”
However, he disclosed that the case in still min court and everything would be settled between legally.
