I was born black,
I grew up black,
My skin is black in the sun,
I’m black when I’m scared,
Black when I’m ill
I’ll die black.

While you, my white brother,
You were pink at birth,
White while growing up,
You turn red in the sun,
Blue when you’re cold,
Green when you’re scared,
Yellow when you’re ill,
And gray once dead.

So why on Earth do you call me coloured?
