Few hours after Dbanj was honoured with the Entertainment Icon of the Year Award by Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts (BEFFTA), for his contribution to music, he ended up in heated session with a fan who is not excited over the type of music artists in the country are currently making.
“Nigerians musicians are doing us proud. We are only listening Nigerian music, I can assure you that,” the fan began, adding that he is worried about the lyrics which speak a lot about “love” and objectify women. “We need a prophecy in our music,” the fan continued. “What do you say about that.”
However, Dbanj didn’t allow him to land before hitting him with a terse: “I think you need to get a prophet!”
