Davido’s Skelewu finally made a debut on one of the biggest movie platforms ever: Disney, and his fans are so happy for his latest achievement.
The news was shared this morning by the excited singer who revealed that the smash hit single was one of the featured songs in Queen of Katwe, the new movie featuring Oscar Award-winning actress, Lupita Nyong’o.
“Never thought I’d hear “Skelewu” in a Disney movie. Amazing.#QueenofKatwe,” he tweeted, adding, “Lupita Nyong’o, God bless you!”
Queen of Katwe tells the story of a Ugandan chess champion, Phiona Mutesi, who discovered chess when she was nine years old scavenging for food in the Katwe slum districts of Kampala.
Now, Davido has been pleasantly surprised with a feature in this much-anticipated film, and Nigerians on Twitter have joined him in the celebrations.
