Good times are here again for the singing duo of Mad Melon and Mountain Black better known as the Danfo Drivers, as they have just hit a mega deal worth several millions of Naira.
Danfo Drivers made waves in the early 2000s, when the Nigerian music industry was just experiencing a boom, but soon after, they went underground. They rocked the nation with hit songs like ‘Suo’, ‘Kpolongo,’ and others.
But despite not being in the limelight for some years now, the singers have been getting shows outside the country, spreading their tentacles beyond the shores of the country.
This made them to get the attention of a Canada-based Nigerian former boxer, Albert Jegbefumere better known as AJ Bone, who is now a show promoter and has a record label. AJ Bone has now signed Danfo Drivers on to his label.

AJB Records, the ex-boxer’s music outfit, already has artistes like Starboy Jaap, who featured Olamide in one of his singles, and a young lady called Daniella, who is set to take Nigeria by storm.
The ace singers are set to drop their first single under AJB Records anytime soon and ahead of the anticipated release, they have shared promo pictures for their fans to savour.
Albert Jegbefumere, who is also the last Nigerian to win a gold medal at the Common Wealth Games since 2002, told Nigeriafilms.com that he decided to delve into entertainment after his accident, which forced him out of boxing.
He hopes to give Nigerian artistes the needed platform to rub shoulders with their foreign counterparts.
