Passage: Romans 4:19

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:

Message: Consider NOT The Lies

Often times, God’s word to us sounds like a foreign language due to present circumstances. So in the passage, in order for Abraham to be strong in faith in regards to God’s word about him and Sarah having a child, He had to disregard his circumstances. Considering the issues that challenge God’s word will weaken the very thing that’s required to receive it; faith.

We ought to understand that God never speaks to us on our level, because our understanding of the challenges are based on lies, we analyze things from a limited perspective, yet we’re created in the likeness of God, His Spirit lives within us, so limitation is a lie. Despite the passage referring to Sarah’s womb as dead, that same womb carried life.

Anything that challenges God’s word to you, disregard it, like Abraham, we ought to consider not the circumstances. I pray we wouldn’t be selective believers, but we’ll trust in the possibilities of God over every area of our lives.
