It may surprise you to know that Ronaldo won £15,000 while playing poker. He got enough money to retire yet he was caught playing poker.
Relax! He only featured in PokerStars’ latest series where he took on Aaron Paul, who played the role of Jesse Pinkman in hit series Breaking Bad. The footballer had played only to Save the Children while Paul was playing for the Kind Campaign, Neymar, playing for the Neymar Institute, Star Wars actor John Boyega, Victoria’s Secret model Sara Sampaio and Miss World Mireia Lalaguna Royo.
They are played for charity. Ronaldo said ‘I love the surge of excitement you get when challenging others, which is one of the main reasons I love poker so much.It provides me with a thrill that I normally only feel on the football pitch. The duels were challenging but also really fun.’
