Cool FM, Clout Africa blacklisted me for missing their event – Yemi Alade
Grammy nominee Yemi Alade has accused two media stations, Cool FM and Clout Africa of blacklisting her music because she missed one of their events in December 2023.
According to the popular singer, the media houses dumped her numerous apologies in the bin and have since the incident caused tensions.
She claimed that the media houses removed her music from their platforms despite all efforts to settle their differences.
The ‘Johnny’ singer claimed the media houses went so far as to remove her entire catalog from their playlists over her absence at the December event.
She wrote, “My God, big pass your whole station @cloutafrica @CoolFMNigeria.
“Keep on forming gate keepers and taking my songs down. NA God be my label and management, we go meet for front. Fake people wey dey feel like small gods.
“God go still give me food. You’re beefing an artist for 1 full year, over your event. I didn’t go, too. I apologized and even called your oga, him dey form oga, no even reply my text.”
Addressing individuals within the stations, Yemi wrote, “Mr Serge and Mr Joseph, you see this life no hard like that we see you… I see you. This world is a small village. My God will fight for me… Una dey form gate keepers in 2024.” (sic)
