Nigerian American base singer, Jidenna, made a name for himself through a controversy he created some months back by speaking ill about his country of birth but he has since moved on.
The singer has been making a name for himself with some of his latest music which continue to attract fans towards his direction as he tries to fit into the world market.
The singer seems to have put behind the fears he has for his home land Nigeria, as he plans to come visiting soon and have a possible sound done in the country.
To a nice stay in the country, the singer has reached out to Mavin records boss, Don Jazzy, on how he could meet him up to have some jobs done together.
He also used the opportunity to prove that he has not forgotten his roots by speaking the local English, “Don Jazzy, nice one bro. How we go take connect when I land Naija? You go dey?.”
Don Jazzy, who loves to create humour with every opportunity thrown at him, decided to describe the singer as ‘Yanky Banky’ with an acceptance of wanting to work with him whenever he comes around.
“Jidenna You have now joined afro-beat gang. We shall call you ‘Yanky Banky.’ It’s ok. AHH Yanky Banky. I hail o. Not a problem bro. Holla when you show,” Don Jazzy replied.
