Chocolate City boss, Audu Maikori, has cleared the air on the controversies surrounding the earlier departure and the return of Jesse Jagz from the music label.
There have been various speculations that the artiste, younger brother to MI, a rapper and executive at Choc City, as the label is fondly called, earlier left because of a breach of contract. It was alleged that the rapper left after the label practically turned him into a producer instead of being an artiste.
Speaking with Daily Independent, Maikori explained that before Jesse joined Choc City, he was not a good producer, but that his production skills improved while at the entertainment outfit.
“The funny thing is that when we signed Jesse, he wasn’t that good a producer when he was signed, his skills actually developed in the course of the relationship. So, that is totally not true,” he told the newspaper.
