Chinda, son of a Nigerian government official was convicted and jailed for life imprisonment by a High Court in Aberdeen for brutally raping and killing a high-escort in Aberdeen.
He was accused of throttling and suffocating the deceased, a 37 years-old mother of one , Jessica McGraa after he raped her in her rented apartment located in Union Terrace.
It was said that Chinda, a 26-year old from Robert Gordon University stole her two mobile phones after killing her in order to conceal the incident.
It was learnt that Chinda was so desperate that day to have sexual intercourse. When he searched for a prostitute and did not see, he stumbled into the decease at her apartment.
She has a family in Nigeria with a brother who is based in Hongkong . She was planning to get married that year before Chinda took her life.
The accused who had never been remorseful towards the decease broke down after he was convicted and sentenced to prison.
According to his counsel Ian Duguid QC, “it was hard for Chinda to display any remorse towards Miss McGraa or her family as he did not accept his guilt.
The case was presided by a jury of seven men and eight women who unanimously found him guilty of murder.
