Internet imposters are no longer news for those surfing the net and have various accounts with some social media sites. Many celebrities account have been either hacked or various parody accounts have been created with celebrities name just to deceive fans and even extort money from them.

Well, Nigerian celebrities are not new to these trends but feels pained when their name are being dragged into the mud for the wrong reasons. The imposters could either lure their victims to a particular place to rob them or could either demand for some amount of money to promising to make them feature in a yet to be released movie and so many other tricks.

Recently, another victim of imposter is Nollywood’s actress, Chika Ike. A parody account with her was created and used to lure her fans into participating in a promo where she is said to be giving away prizes.

The actress, immediately had to call the attention of her fans to be careful about such account. “Good Day Fabs! General Reply. No I am not doing any promo or give away on facebook. I have only one fanpage and here’s the link. Please pass the message to friends and families. Too many impostors. Have a great day.
