Charly Boy, born Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, 19 June 1951 (also spelt Charlie Boy and known as CB, His Royal Punkness, and Area Fada, is a Nigerian singer/songwriter, television presenter, publisher, producer and one of Nigeria’s most controversial entertainers.

He is best known for his alternative lifestyle, political views, and media productions, most notably The Charly Boy Show. He has been president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, and in 2011 an Idol Series judge.

The activist was earlier reported to have turned a born again Christian at Christ embassy at Abuja after he and his activism group visited the church.

A member of the church had issued that he did not come for his repentance but he only came to address the youth of the church, that if he wants to be born again he should be sober.

From the look of things, it will be evident to say that Charlie has turned a new leaf, His Royal Punkness attended the church with his wife and some family members where he thanked god and shared his testimony to the church.

I hope the fellow that had issued he wasn’t born again was in the service again to witness this one.
