A picture of Burna boy with his friends in 2012 just showed up online. The artist who has never hidden his Fela Anikulapo-Kuti-influence on his music, even to the point of performing in his pant at Felabration, has been doing amazingly great since he joined the Nigerian music industry.
Burna boy has been on the news when he talked about “who stole whose flow”- claiming that Flavour did stole Gba Gbe E for Phyno’s Authe- on Another One. He went ahead to addressed plagiarism on a rehash of Timaya’s Sanko… He has not even stopped talking.
He had slammed the Nigerian music industry where he said “It’s political, man—To be honest I don’t really feel like I’m a part of the industry […] I don’t get awards because the powers that be don’t really like me—I’m not like everyone else.”
This was the reason he said that: “My music is a gift […] How many people have dropped a song like Soke, stating the problems that’s actually going on in the country, and actually stepping up?”
How time flies! Imagine how fame has turned the singer to become too clean today. We wonder if he ever remembers those on this picture.
