The Nigerian singer Burna Boy was arrested by the Nigerian police (Lagos police command) in Ikeja on the 15th December 2017; he was detained after interrogation from the police force.
He is said to be the master minder of the attack on Mr. 2kay in October 2017, which the culprit were arrested and after interrogation they confessed that they were paid by the singer to attack Mr. 2Kay and that he paid them a sum of one hundred thousand naira.
Mr. Burna had to cancel is concert that was scheduled for Sunday 17th December 2017 to appear in court on Monday 18.
He showed up at Court 1 at the Magistrate Court in Ikeja in the afternoon. The singer was charged with two counts, ‘accessory to the fact’ and ‘hoarding of information’ that he knew what happened at Eko Hotel & Suites and didn’t apprise the police.
Burna Boy’s defense counsel Bright Idahosa applied for bail on behalf of his client. The bail was granted with one surety and N100, 000 bails. No objection was made the accusing counsel concerning the bail.
The case has been adjourned to 29th December 2017 were he will appear in court again for further jurisdiction.
