The Archbishop of the Anglican Communion, Enugu Province, His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Chukwuma, has warned President Muhammadu Buhari about his style of leadership which he says portends the collapse of Democracy in the country.

He described the President as a “Military democrat”, adding that a lot of Nigerians are not happy with his political appointments which floated the rule of Federal character.

He furthered that the controversy between the Presidency and the National Assembly was overheating the polity.

Speaking about the incessant attacks of herdsmen in various parts of the country, he said that the Federal Government is yet to resolve on the strategy that can be employed as a solution to these attacks.

In his words, “Mr. President should know that he is the President of Nigeria, he should know that he is a civilian democrat, not a military democrat.

“He is operating a military democracy, and he is also exhibiting Islamic political militancy, that is what he is exhibiting.

“This will not augur well for this democracy, it may affect the democracy and it will crash. He should understand that this is not the way to get Nigeria united in a democracy.”
