The Lagos State Police Command was said to have engaged some suspected militants in Igando area of the state in a gun battle.

The militants who stormed the area at about 4a.m Tuesday plundered some shops and shot sporadically into the air so as to scare residents.
Police officers arrived the scene and engaged the militants in gun battle.

About three policemen sustained injury while residents in the area scampered for safety.a source revealed.
