The wife of the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mrs. Margaret Emefiele who was kidnapped by unknown gunmen has been released.

A source at the Police High Command said the Wife of Godwin Emiefele and four others were released around 1a.m on Saturday.

It would be recalled that Margaret, three women and a driver were attacked enroute Benin-Agbor Road and were dragged into a close by bush leaving their vehicle behind.

The abductors demanded a ransom of N100m. A Police source said they found the victims around the bush close to the expressway where they were abducted.

He stated that investigation into the matter is ongoing.
