Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, Governor of Abia state has filed a notice of appeal and application for stay of execution at the Abuja division of the Court after he was dismissed from his position as Governor by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

This was made known by his Chief Press Secretary, Enyinnaya Appolos on Tuesday.

The court’s decision was based on the allegation that Ikpeazu presented fake tax information to his party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, during the governorship primary in December 2014.

Meanwhile, Ikpeazu implores his supporters to calm down because he would do all it takes to bring justice to his name.
